Dear Seniors and Parents, 

You’re almost there! The finish line is in sight! I’m so excited for you as you prepare to complete your high school journey. What an incredible season this is as we celebrate all that God has done in and through your years at GDA. The pinnacle of these years is the graduation ceremony and the meaningful traditions that mark this milestone moment. 

 

Senior Slideshow 
Please send your pictures for the senior slideshow to the Communications Team (communications@gloriadeoacademy.org) by Monday, January 16th. 

• Include at least one baby picture. 

• You may also send group photos, field trip pictures, or other fun memories. 

This slideshow is always a beautiful reflection of God’s faithfulness in each student’s journey from childhood to graduation.

Senior Cap and Gown Photos/Graduation Photos Individual cap and gown photos have been taken. We will announce when the group photo will be taken in the coming months. There will be a $25 photography fee that will be charged to your student’s account for cap and gown photos in addition to all photos taken during graduation. 

 

Yearbook Senior Page 
If you’d like to include a senior page in the yearbook, please submit your materials to the Communications Team by Monday, March 16th. 
Please include: 

• One senior picture 

• Three younger pictures 

• Up to 50 words of congratulations or encouragement from your family 

• Your student’s full name (First, Middle, and Last) with correct spelling for the graduation program. 

This is a wonderful way for families to share Scripture, encouragement, or a blessing over their senior as they step into this next season God has prepared for them.

ACT Registration

• Deadline February 28th for April 5th test

• Deadline May 9th for June 14th test

• Deadline June 6th for July 12th

Decision Day/Honoring Graduates 

Wednesday, April 30th - Opening Ceremonies 

Students may wear their college attire. They will come on stage and announce their future plans. Students and teachers will pray over the seniors. Students will then walk the halls of the entire school. 

 

Senior Breakfast 
Our Senior Breakfast will be Saturday, May 2nd at 9:00 AM at Bass Pro’s White River Conference Center (Sportsman’s Lodge). 
For the first time, this special event includes seniors, parents, and grandparents — up to four guests per senior. 
Please RSVP by March 31st by calling the front office. 

• Cost: $28 per guest 

• Student meals are covered by GDA 

This cherished tradition is a time of reflection, gratitude, and prayer as we honor the Class of 2026 and give glory to God for His work in their lives. 

 

Graduation Ceremony 
Saturday, May 9th at 2:00 PM 
Location: The Springs Church (5500 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804) 

• Doors open to the public at 1:30 PM 

Our prayer is that this ceremony will not only celebrate academic achievement but also give thanks to the Lord for shaping these young men and women into followers of Christ who are ready to impact the world for His glory. 

 

Table Displays 
Each senior will decorate a display highlighting their interests, memories, and achievements. 

• Each senior will have half of a 6-foot table (3 ft each). 

• Parents may begin decorating at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9th at The Springs. 

These displays are a wonderful testimony to the gifts, talents, and passions God has placed within each student, reminding us of His creativity and faithfulness in their lives.

Caps, Gowns, and Tassels 
We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s class will wear new black gowns with purple stoles! 

• GDA will provide the gowns — no need to purchase. 

• Gowns must be returned after the ceremony. 

• Caps and tassels are $25 and will be charged to your account. 
  All fees must be paid by Thursday, April 30th. 
  Feel free to decorate your cap (appropriately). If you’re unsure, please check with me first. 

 

Final Day for Seniors 

• Your last day of school will be Friday, May 1st! It’s coming quickly!
